Very nice. We've done a few out here onthe West Coast. Looking to do the same conversion on a 38 Scarab with 900's.

Here's our own Fountain. 675hp mills, 29' non-step. this thing's a resin bucket and mowed through drives before. We've got about 150+ trouble free and abusive hours on the drives now.

Re: Konrad Conversion 1 of 2!

Reddog 382,
The K-planes were pulled to repaint the transom because the the tail pipes are repositioned(because the engines have to be lifted approx 1 inch) and the holes for the steering must be filled as well as the hoses from the "Bravo Type Drives". It is a much cleaner job this way.Doller Offshore is doing the same thing to my Sonic.

Mike 35 Fountain,
The standoff box is a Konrad part. It houses the "Bam" 1350 transmission, and also supports the steering cylinders.

Bob,
Your buddy will have to talk to Konrad because of the horsepower. 900 will probably be too much for the drive.

Lofty,
Were both your conversions "TRS" to Konrad 540's?
Doller Offshore is doing Bravo type to Konrad ACE conversions.

Lofty

How did that conversion work out on that pantera . does the boat handle the same ? what kind of power is it running ? what speeds , prop ? I have a new pantera being built and almost went for a konrad but just don't know enough about them are how it would work on a Pantera .
Thanks Morgan

Re: Konrad Conversion 1 of 2!

NJsonic...thanks for the reply..........When Imco came out with their 4x4
setup I called and tried to buy just the box, they said no way!

I have 800 hp per side in my Fountain and will probably bump up to 900
this year if I don't sell. What is Konrad rated for? I don't abuse my boat
but do like a big cruise speed. The real problem I have is lack of room
in the bilge ( I put on a couple of pounds over the years ) but I do all
my own work and would like to push the motors back. I might consider
these drives with the boxes.
