can I stagger my engine set up ?
I'm switching my TRS set up to bravo. I have to redo the transom anyway because of humidity. Since I'll have no more transmission, and then wasted space, do you think I would have the room to make a staggered set up? It'a 85 Formula 35-7. Opinions?

I would call Formula and ask them. I bet they would have some opinions on how the boat would be balanced.
Then let us know what they say.

I had asked the same question about a 311 that I was looking at a while back and the responce was that there was not enough room. You might have enough room in a 357 but If you are not going to run really big power it probably will not help that much ,so money spent on 5 blades and xr sportmasters would be better in the long run. A 357 is about the same size as a new 382 and they run really well with the side by side configuration. One of the coolest 357's that I have ever seen was at a show in sandusky OH in 1991 and it had merc 575's and Speedmaster 3's in a side by side configuration.
