Just a side note but did you know that flag came off a yacht at the marina near the World Trade Center. If 3 other ethnic firefighters would have taken the trouble to go down take the flag off the yacht and bring it back to ground zero. Their picture would have been taken, history would have been and the statue would have been made to look like them with no complaints from America. What a shame race has to be bought into everything. The PC people won this one.

I signed last night. But, to update, CNN just reported that the Fired Department of NYC, which had commissioned the statue, has dropped plans for the memorial due to the controversy. At a later date, they will renew ideas for a memorial to 9-11-01 but it will not involve making a staute based on the photo of the guys raising the American Flag.
