Motorized Navigation Pole Light??

Has anyone ever seen a motorized 360 degree navigation pole light....similar to a power antenna?

Unless you are real set on one, you might want a regular one. The internal connections on those don't seem to hold up well, makes the light blink a lot and sometimes just not light :evilb: Always an adventure :D

Re: Motorized Navigation Pole Light??

I'm seeing them more often these days on boats I survey. I believe Cablemaster is the manufacturer.

Re: Motorized Navigation Pole Light??

Innovative lighting makes one. New ones are LED and I have had no trouble with mine. If you turn the switch on then off then back on it will signal SOS. I really like mine and I also have a stern light mounted on the transome so it is more of an anchor light. I got mne from Eddie Marine. :drink:

I have never had a problem with the one that came with my boat.

Also there is a setting that will make the light blink SOS in morse, maybe you are mistaking that setting for loose connections.

I use my boat in fresh water also, so it might be a salt water enviroment issue if there are people having problems with those.

Re: Motorized Navigation Pole Light??

The rear pole is NOT motorized. It's a do it yourself. Brand new never used. The front light is motorized.

Asked about this product today and had this reply but looks like it was from 2006.....Do you still have this motorized telescoping stern light?

Scottc has not posted since 2015!

They quit making those years ago. I had one but it did not like riding in a 28 Skater. Went with the manual pull out which worked fine but no cool factor. Check around they may have a new one out but the had a bad habit of breaking back when they were available.

thank you for the reply. We have a Magic and after 13 years ours broke last night...we knew they stopped making them...was hoping to find one leftover from someone.

just found out the one in my tiger may be bad,so i have to see before i let it go. i did respond to a couple pms.

I know for a while innovative lighting would send you a new LED motorized light if you had one of their non LED lights that went bad for $80. They just needed your old serial number. Not sure if they are still doing that but worth a shot.

For what it is worth I have a new in the box a Manual version Innovative Telescoping LED stern light that is a direct replacement for the power version no longer made that came on the Nordic's, Magic's and I'm sure many others. I bought this years back and have never installed it.

I'll let it go for what I have into it which is $100.00 plus the ride to ship.

If interested shoot me a PM or call Steven @ 505-280-6558. Thanks

Sale Pending..

dawnpatrol 07-22-2019 10:48 AM

Sold.. Thanks for the interest.

I wanted to share what I had found as options to replace the existing Innovative Telescoping Stern light with a conventional 2-Pin Light Socket which will accept an aftermarket stern light pole.

Innovative Lighting makes an adapter ring, part #512-9911-11 that will work in the 1 3/4" hole left behind from the original light.

Safeglow whips also makes an adapter ring specifically for the original Innovative Light that will accept a standard 2-Pin socket as well as one of their LED whips.

I am in need for the lens for the auto telescoping anchor light for an anchor light made by innovative lighting. Anyone have any parts to a auto telescoping anchor light that I can buy? I cannot find anywhere. Innovative Lighting sent me wrong part twice and now told me they do not carry this discontinued part. Help would be greatly appreciated!!!
