How many fish off their sterndrive performance boats?

I love performance boats, but like fishing too. Hence I developed custom, removable modifications to my Sonic SS30 to make fishing (and lounging) on the engine hatch easy and safe. Have caught lots of fish from it, and have avoided ANY permanent fish smells by being careful.

I have seen quite a few folks fishing from their sterndrive performance boats off Long Island N.Y., and wonder just how many here do the same.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Fishing, yes. Catching fish, nope.
There is a fine line between fishing and standing on your swim platform holding your pole.

I have one of those fold up portable rod and reels in a bag that I keep on the boat. We have a favorite cove that we overnight at and when you wake up early in the morning the fog is laying just over the water and the fish are breaking. I cannot stand it and have to throw a line in. No serious fishing though.

Ho Ho "I cannot stand it..". That is what happens here when the bluefish and stripers are attacking huge thrashing schools of baitfish on the surface, amidst hords of seagulls and terns attacking them.

It does not matter what kind of boat someone has, it is basic instinct to join the feeding frenzy. <gg>
