I'm in the final stages or rigging the MTI. I am looking for some custom, uniqe stuff, not the same things we use over and over. I'm looking for some cool looking grab handles, step plates (for the bilge floors and boarding the boat), foot rests, etc. Anyone see anything unusual lately??

Anything offered 'new' now will be average tomorrow. You need to have some custom pieces made. Guys like Eddie marine that are already in the busness will make custom bits (I think) or at least personalize the production stuff.
Or look outside the Marine environment, I know this long haired rocker guy working in a dirt floor dump that can make a dash out of metals that look like flames with copper and stainless and brass in their natural colours, he has never been in a boat.
There lots of cool ideas, but you can be in a hurry.

I got a Dana Marine Catalog in the mail the other day, and I was amazed @ the amount of grab handles, step plates and other harware they make. I know you are looking for something custom, maybe you can sketch up something and send it to them and see what they can do.
