2) Don't be afraid to get out and survey the area before proceeding

4) use your mirrors
5) relax....everyone has been in your shoes and most are willing to help if you need.

Well every one pretty much covered it..But remember what ever u got into u can always back out of but,BACKING IS ALWAYS THE LAST RESORT.If your gonna hit someone or thing thats when its gonna happen.Always back so u can see the rig by just looking out your left window.Backing out your right side(passenger)is the blind side back.Avoid it if possible.

Also if you have an extra person with you and you do have to back out don't let them just sit there, make them get out and help you back, tell them that if they can't see you in the mirror you can't see them so they need to move to be where you can see them.

Don't be afraid to ask someone to back your boat/trailer for you if you are uncomfortable about it. Personally I hang around a little at the ramps just to watch other people, and have offered numerous times to women to back their trailers if I see them having a hard time. They normally accept with a sigh of relief. Other boat owners will help you if they have a few minutes and see you are having a problem. Don't let the impatient ones get you upset and nervous with your routine. Make sure you have a routine to follow before you do launch, I know you asked that question before and you got some pretty good responses from it. :)
