Dumb Sea Doo Question
Hate Sea Doos, hate to ask here ,but my wife's best friend just bought an 04 RXP with 30 hours on it. The oil light came on,she dumped maybe a quart and a half of 2 cycle Yamaha oil in it,then realized it is a 4-stroke. Her husband is in a panic, wants to drain it out and refill with 4 stroke oil, they want my advice, but I haven't messed with PWC's in years. My gut feeling is it will be OK,what do yall think? :p

Re: Dumb Sea Doo Question
Id drain it ..they only hold a quart or two.. refill with synthetic and not worry :drink:

Re: Dumb Sea Doo Question
Definitely drain it. You should only use the XPS II 4-stroke Bombardier oil in that ski. If she didn't run it with the 2-stroke oil you should be OK. If she did, I'd take it to a dealer...

Re: Dumb Sea Doo Question
Actually they just call it XP-S 4-stroke Mineral Oil now. Here's the link from Sea-Doo's site:
http://www.seadoo.com/en-US/Watercra...productCode=32 But be sure to ask the parts / service guy just to make sure... |
Re: Dumb Sea Doo Question
...Or you don't have to drain it... just wreck it and get a Yamaha
