Kurt, I'm sorry to hear about Monroe. Even though I hadn't personally met him. Through your stories and through stories of those that had met him (in the limo in Miami) I feel your pain.

There's nothing worse than loosing a dog. I've lost a few and am still sad when I think of them.

Bummer K , I hope he went peacefully and all. Just take comfort in knowing he felt exactly the same about you and that you were the most important thing in his life. Hold onto all your best memories and he'll live forever in you bro.

I came home from the Key West races 2 years ago to find out my dog passed away :( I know how you feel :(

Kurt, I lost my chocolate lab 6 months ago. I think of him almost every day. We had him for 17 years and I had a harder time with his loss than when my mother passed. We still have two dogs and it does help to dull the pain some. I think in The Spring I am going to begin the search for a Lab puppy not as a replacement but as a companion to begin a new chapter in the dog's life experience. Joe Murray
