I have had great luck with WD-40 - takes out anything and doesn't seem to hurt the vinyl.

Acetone and lacquer thinner are big no-no's!
Those two will damage the vinyl. And if your boat has lexan windshields and some drips on it the lexan will be permanently damaged. I don't think mineral spirirts or WD-40 will hurt. Try them on a small spot first. |
