Fuel pressure regulator question
I was wondering if any of you are using a rising rate fuel pressure regulator in a mild upgrade application. I am running a 502 mag mpi in a Donzi 22zx. The only engine upgrade is a pair of CMI tube tops. I run at sea level and am pretty sure that I am running lean. I don't want to screw up my low speed mixture but want some extra fuel pressure at medium and WOT conditions. I was planning on running a rising rate regulator in series with the factory reg. This will allow leaving the base idle setting at factory with the rising rate taking over when the curves cross.
I am also contemplating having the ECU flashed, but the idea of having that done several times to get it right does not sit well with me.
Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Rene

Re: Fuel pressure regulator question
Cartech in texas makes one of the nicest rising rate regulators ive seen,I'm running a set-up exactly like what your talking about. I would belive however that one of the reputable efi re-programmers out there should have a efi program for a motor matching yours. I have had great luck with work Tyler Crockett has done,Smitty
