abouy the same as the formula a friend had 2 382 race set ups 525s mid 80s . road nice in the rough,thought the baja did too 36 24 degree hull.

Me neither, have not been in a 36 Baja. I would guess since the bottom is simple it would be easy to drive and probably pretty smooth.
Panther don't both boats have a 23 degree bottom? Yes the Fountain has a pad but with the longer nose the Fountain could cut down and span some of the rough stuff pretty good. Back in 2000 when I was an APBA inspector I was on flag duty in the Formula pace boat. It was a 382. It ran good but was a little slow with HP500's back then. 75 was about all it would do and it knocked us around pretty good at times. |
