Re: Anyone use Jet Dock?
My bro in law is the distributor for jet dock up here. We have em at the cottage. They come in black or light tan colours. The bigger set ups are submergible and use a compressor and air chambers to raise and lower. Pretty slick stuff. Indestructible and very versatile.

Re: Anyone use Jet Dock?
Has anyone done a price quality comparison? Do they all seem to be the same? I know that they all have some slightly different options like the winch posts and what not.
For my 18 Donzi I was at like 7500 for the Jet Dock and about 5 grand for the Jet Float   My problem is that on the side of the dock that I keep the Donzi on I have very little water. |

Re: Anyone use Jet Dock?
For pilings I just wrapped a chain around the pile with a couple of snap hooks hooking to the ears of the cube. The dock does not need to be "firmly" attached to the pilings. It is better to "push" against something firm when docking rather than sideways. For the most part they are tied off with rope.

I have one for a 13' PWC. I may sell it if anyone is interested.
|
I purchased two of the solid one piece design for my PWCs and in salt water with both skis on them (they bolt together) they sit low in the back, not so low as to have any of the ski in the water but the return slot "v" in the front that guides you into the center of the platform will build up barnacles and it scratches the shrt out of the front of the ski if you don't scrape it clean after you get the ski out of it. You can sometimes get the ski off without it scrapping too bad but the first time you try to drive up on the thing with the barnacles in the "v" it scratched the crap out of the hull. Sold one to a guy to use as a maintenance platform to stand on while working on his boat while it is in the hoist and that is what I use the other one for.
Now I have a couple of piling mounted vertical lifts for the skis as I should have purchased first. $1800 wasted. And that was 4 years ago and it was a very specific brand, not jet dock but a one piece knock off. It is almost identical to the CarolinaFloats product but that is not the company. The company I purchased from is no longer in business. I would wait for the permits for the lifts if I were you. |
