Skater 39 V-Bottom Rocks!
#1
Had the rare pleasure of testing the newest 39 Skater for the fine gentlemen of Skater and Lake Cumberland Marine tonight, thanks Pete and Chris, and one word says it all.
AWESOME!
1075 mercs and staggered 6's. I ran over 120 before a water temp problem and the end of Lake Macatawa slowed my forward progress and there was plenty of throttle left. Tattletale showed over 130. I have always said a v bottom is not as safe as a cat at high speeds but this boat was as sure footed at 120 as it was at 70. Amazing exceleration and perfect stability all the way through the range. Docile around the docks, planed like a ski boat, excelerated like a crotch rocket and sat perfectly still at 120. What more could you ask for? Skater continues to set the bar. Congratulations.

Must have been in the shower otherwise I sure would have heard that!
Did you hit 120 from Dutton park to narrows or have to go through the narrows? If no narrows thats some great acceleration and fine driving. Bet she had a nice tail.

flat boring dash, plastic door ro cabin too small for a midget, 4 bolster seats in the back with 12" of seat width, just boring looking, the boat is awesome on the outside and performance, but redo the interior. a;; white interior looks like a Mcloed interior, but still not tricked out, plus ugly hatches on deck.

The whole boat is sweet. Retesting tommorrow. 130+ I hope. Interior is very nice. The boat was well rigged. I ran the boat from the east side to the narrows then turned around. NK
