The two fastest runs I've witnessed were both Mystics at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.

2007 - Callan Marine 209 mph - Turbine (Dave Callan & John Cosker)

2010 - Nauti Marine 208 - Piston (Dave Scott & John Tomlinson)

It might have done 200 MPH somewhere but it didn't at the Shootout in 2002... Fastest run that year was the Miss Budweiser at 192 to beat Callan on Sunday... I'm not talking about GPS readings just the results that they posted...That was the Bacardi Silver Skater that's best run during the shootout was 165... Bernie Little couldn't stand it and entered the Miss Budweiser on Sunday to take the "Top Gun" for Budweiser...

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...-so-far-3.html

I don't believe anyone reached the 200 mark before Callan did it with his 203 & 209 run's and then Dave Scott's 208 last year...

Final results;

Ah but as I posted in my earlier thread, I was only referring to the 2002 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout not any other race or speed run which was what was being discussed between RHR and myself... RHR stated that the Bacardi boat ran 200 mph at the shootout in 2002 and it never reached those speeds at that event topping out at 187 in 2004...

All of the speeds that have been posted are incredible regardless of when they were put down.

I wanna say 160's? Watching him run, it seemed like he may have been propped for top speed instead of acceleration. Regardless, he ran awesome considering how much horsepower/smaller boats guys like Romer and Olson had.

The Callan 209mph run was DQ'd though. The current official record is a tie between Callan and Dave Scott at 208mph
