I remember that wreck. Very sad.

Looks like the boat took a beating.

Skater will do the glass and paint for $40,000 No way Jose, the paint alone is 40k and the huge amount og glass work brings it to 100k in my book. Plus you may get it there but don't plan on seeing it for 5 years. I say you take those cinder blocks and fill the boat with them, then cast off. Sorry about the loss, you are right though, this is a scrap heap. If you could get it in writing that Skater would do this you will be getting a deal because they will do it right.

I know how you feel about your 3 friends... But reality is, boats or car, whatever happened in the accident, an insurance company will sure try to sell it back, take as much money out of it to reduce their loss, and there will always be someone looking to buy these and fix 'em... just like cars. Imagine that now... I personnaly knew a guy that was shot in the head in his family van... Total loss in my opinion (blood, smell, so on...) insurance had the van repaired, and his wife had no choice but to take it back...
