Shogren Marine is a class act. I understand why they are the number one Fountain dealer. I was treated with respect even buying the old broken red boat in the corner of the shop.
I just found out it has Merlin 547 CI engines! 850hp each. I called the engine builder. It also has Number three drives. Maybe this will be faster than my MTI.

I suppose if I strapped a long bunge cord to the stern of the MTI and the bow the Fountain it might slingshot past at about 150mph.

I am assuming the three blade 17 x 28 props will not be the best setup. I am guessing five blades might be better. First I need to test and see how they run and what the slip will be. Anyone running Number threes on a Fountain?

Brad,
Have you had the props off yet? I am curious how the shafts look and if there is any pitting by the seals? Are they the 1 3/4" shafts? If so you they would be the same as mine and you may have a set of 5 blades you can try as reference.
