Anyway... I would be willing to go back to black if the colored screen names are what have slowed down an almost unbearably slow site to the lumbering crawl that we have now.

Used to be a patient person could use a dial up.

Now high bandwidth is required or the site is unusable.

Not sure what speed you are using but with the demand for pictures, video, flash graphics, etc. and the availability of satellite interenet, fiber optic, dsl, cable, etc. the days of dial up are over. It is simply impossible to have the site cover the entire spectrum of speeds with what the customer now wants.

Everyone is picture crazy, every thread has pictures. They don't want to use the photos section for pictures. So, the members are creating some of the problem and the battle is impossible to fight on slow speed connections.

Even Starbucks , airports, and Panera Bread offer high speed wireless internet for free and thats only to name a few.
