Default Thousand Islands Region?

I would like to visit the Thousand Island region. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay? I am looking for a cottage on the water with a dock (38') to rent the week of July 30th.. . I know last minute.
Thanks

Sorry I can't help on cottage, but kingston city marina is great and you can sleep at Holliday Inn or Howard Johnson right at the bassin. Nice place. but not quite like a cottage. punch 1000 island cottage on internet, you'll find some... hopefully vacancy!

Mikeyo, check out this link, these are US side rentals, I'll check with a Realtor I know on the Canadian side this weekend to see if he has anything.

Many cottages are advertised in the "1000 Island Sun". It's a weekly newspaper. A 38' dock at a cottage may be a challenge to find.

Bonnie Castle have long docks, some covered. The rooms are "OK", but abit in need of maintence. The River Edge as really nice docks, great rooms, and mutiple restuarants including a fine dinning restuarant. Both are in Alexandria Bay.

Might want to contact a realtor for a cottage and dock...some of the realtors handle them for the owners.

Enjoy the area...it's one of the best kept secrets in the northeast!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the feedback. I can't find a vacancy for my scheduled time this year but we are going to reserve a place for next year once we look at our options. My wife is really looking forward to it as are the children. Thanks again.

Bonnie Castle has the best docks in the Bay. 40 to 45 ft x 16 covered so if the weather turns bad you can still be with and on your boat.they have hotel rooms but are usully boked up. I have a dock there for the whole summer. love it. You will love it up there it is the best clean and sometimes very big water.
