#1
We are planning on a vacation in the Keys for next year for the first week of April does anyone have any suggestions. Right now it's my wife and our two kids and another couple. My wife has found some place that look nice.
Thanks for any info.

(Vacation Rentals By Owner) Has lots and lots of choices. Great resourse for a vacation house/home instead of a hotel. I use this site all of the time.

It depends on what your looking for. If you want the night life, Key West. Sunset Key (the island across from Mallory Square) is really nice. If you want a more layed back vacation Hawks Cay on Duck Key 60 miles from Key West. Alot for the kids to do, stay in one of the condos, the Sanctuary units are the best, next would be the units on Toms Harbor. Good Luck

Thanks for the help. I would like to go down in Nov. for the races maybe one of these years. Thanks BEN@SRP that is the site my wife is using to find place. Your right it does have nice places. Our vacation is a get away so no partying everything will be family oriented.

Check out the Cheeca Lodge website in Islamorada. GREAT family resort and location. 1 1/2 hours from k.w. for a day trip.
Hawks Cay also has dolphin swims for the kids.....book way ahead if you do it. 1 hour to k.w.

If you can I suggest you rent a car so you can experiance all of the Keys. My favorites ar the middle to upper Keys. I am not much of a Key West type of person but it is fun to visit for a day.
Hawks Cay is a nice place to base your self out of. I also liked the Hampton Inn in Islamorada too. Be sure to rent boats at each stop to see what the Keys are really about. Also a trip to the Dry Tortugas is a must!
