Boat owners nightmare
I saw this live on the news this am - boat starts on fire - (on its mooring?) line burns and it drifts into a dock..
click here for video (could be a dream if well insured and can't sell!) |
Re: Boat owners nightmare
Man, that's nuts!
Imagine the panick of the guy on the boat a few down which was occupied at the time. |
Re: Boat owners nightmare
Good thing the two guys in the skiff were there to hook it and pull it away from the other boats. The boat owners on the dock owe those guys a huge thank you and several drinks. Thankfully no one was hurt and more boats weren't damaged. That could have gotten real ugly, real fast.

Re: Boat owners nightmare
I watched that this morning, live from the chopper feed... it was nuts! Those two guys in the ctr. console deserve a commendation for that move, saved a ton of boats from a LOT of damage!! Not to mention put their own azzes on the line to do it.

Re: Boat owners nightmare
Wow, those two guys did a great job pulling that boat away from the others.
Remind me not to park next to the guy that was pushing it away from his boat and into the others :D What did the two guys use to hook the boat that was on fire??? Boat hook, anchor line?? |
Re: Boat owners nightmare
anchor, thats why I noted about the chain, a line would have burned through
