I am going to have one in a couple weeks, it is what I have used for two years and been happy with, but bigger boat will require a different set up.

Call me if interested..... it is a floatair..... 10,000#, may be more than you need, but I have been told again and again buy them 20% larger than needed.... this works very well with a #7500 boat with full load of fuel, people, gear, all that stuff...

Dean, Thanks for the reply. I am however going to need a stand alone vertical hoist like a Midlander or Shorestation lift.

Playn, check w/ Ron at Manning Marine. He builds lifts. Might be worth a couple extra bucks to go new. At least it doesn't hurt to check.

Picked up a 3 year 12k lb lift from Ebay last year for half the retail price. Bonus was it happened to be located right here in Va. Beach just a couple of miles form my house. Just had to go over and take it a part.

Keith, I would look around Houghton lk, there will be tons of them for sale in that area. These are very unweilding and would have to be taken apart to go any distance, I bet there is one in the water ready to go, just reverse the lift, put a row boat under it and float it home. I would look in that area only, betweeh Higgins and Houghton you will find a nice one.

Mitch, I'm going to look up there too but I'm not too confident I'll find one with the capacity I want. I brought the lift for the pontoon over from Pentwater last week and am bringing the lift for the four winns over this friday if I can get a permit for the oversized load (width) because I don't want to take it apart. We'll see, really don't need it till the spring now. I'm going to haul some snowmobiles up there in Sept anyway.

Have the jet dock system in place and love it. I will post pics if you want. Of course you can see the boat in action at www.jetdock.com They used it for their video and research development. Very happy. The dock has held up after almost 7 years no problems boat is clean.

Yeah you have to kind of dig a little to find them since there's no real specific category for them. I think it was under lifts, or as Audiofn says hoists. But like everything else on there it's hit or miss and location for pickup of course comes into play. I really lucked out on age/condition, price, and more importantly location.

Another thing you can do of which I was in the middle of at the time, was I had talked to many lift installers, and they said they pull smaller used lifts out all the time to replace with either newer, or more commonly larger lifts. Then they sell them for the owner for a cut. So put the word out to the local lift contractors to add your name to a list if they find a good used lift.
