Default Help save Lake Lanier......from Florida a-holes.....

Florida sued Ga in Fed. court and had them FORCE Ga to let almost 18 feet of water out of Lake Lanier.

The levels are so low docks are in back yards and the PR was not able to be held because the COE was afraid non-locals would run aground or other nav issues.

I copied the following from the Atlanta forum as it was originally posted by TwinScrews......

What does that mean for the lake?
Tues, Aug 8, A town hall meeting with two senators and the corp is going to be there to discuss water levels on Lanier.
Riverside Military Academy's Sandy Beaver Center
2001 Riverside Dr. Gainesville 30501
Everyone who boats on Lanier should try and be there.

Thanks for any help or support you can give the Lake Lanier area members.

Why would Florida want the water in a Georgia lake dropped????

Cash,
Do you remember me posting this?

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...eorgia+boaters

And it's really not Florida that's the A-holes, it's the phucking tree-huggers! All this BS, to raise the water level to protect some "exposed mussels" on the shore of the river.
Good luck with the meeting. I had a friend that went boating up there 3 weeks ago and he said it was really low
