I worked on Hot ducks boat when it was a Tres Offshore ....and from all the boats we had in there that was always my all time favorite one... that was the old kid Apache.....we added a 1/4 cabin with side entrance ( it had no cabin)..it's set up as 8 man bolster ...at the time it had twin 850 hp chevy block motors with #6's and ran in the 80's.. that boat only has one word....BADA$$

18k lbs minus 1 Blown engine, exhaust, a trans and complete #6 assembly. Now we are down to a guesstimated 16k.
Yeah, that's a lot of powerboat!

Full pleasure 47's are crazy heavy, if you you made her a twin it would be to bow heavy. Maybe a half cabin with twin's would work but I would want Mr. Mc Manus to set her up, so she would fly more level.

It would weigh about as much as a Tiger with a Firefox lashed to it's deck.

My guess with twins would be 18K/19K. That boat is the full-cockpit pleasure version. Apahe's varied alot in weight and the pleasure boats had much heavier layups. The one that Cumberland is re-rigging is an ex- raceboat and they're doing twin 1200 Sterlings. I think they'll end up with an expensive underperformer that eats drives.

Turbines?

Sacrilege. Like repainting the smile on the Mona Lisa.

Apaches are old-school. That means big piston engines.
