GM Performance has them new and cheap. I think I paid around $300.00 for one.

Not sure. I went to Ferman Chevrolet in Clearwater and told them I needed a replacement head for an LS7. Just so you know. Under the same part number,you'll find both the 990 casting and the 188 casting.

Never confirmed this but I was told they are the same just originally they had 2 different foundries making them and thats what told them which was which.

So you can use either one
