due to the fact that he pays an arm and a leg for insurance, you also will pay an arm and a leg for him to move your boat.

he is the only guy on this board that knows how to drive so you will pay for that 2.

fuel prices!!!!!!!!

he has a big boat, there is a surcharge for that!

so let's see, to move a 24' boat from texas to Jersey would be $250 per foot x 24+ 4.25 per mile+ $1800 insurance surcharge+skater surcharge+ superiour driver surcharge+ unloading fee + $500 to show you how to drive your new boat+ a bunch of other crap he will think of = $32,964

Well, life is a bieatch for the fly by night guys with no insurance, crappy equipment, lack of customer service, and inability to offer full service boat handling. It all fun and games until its your boat involved in an accident and the "cheap" driver is at fault ot underinsured. Wanna haul $10k boats, go with anybody. Wanna haul a million dollar boat, have it launched and at the dock with fuel and ready, with full coverage?? Call Jeff.

Re: boat transport

as you read this thread think for a moment.....

You just worked a deal on a boat that really cost more than you wanted to spend, by some horrible five figure number (maybe six), but you can make other cuts to afford it, you have been looking for this boat for a year or more, you spent countless hours working out details, will it fit in the garage, will it fit my lake, is it right for the family, will I like it long term, screw around with a dozen insurance places to determine how much will insurance be, how fast will it go, what taxes and regulations will there be, get a survey before hand, take a trip to see it, cost guard documentation, a 10, 15, or 20 year note, screw with different banks, future poker runs you can do, imagine trips to big name runs across the country ....... you are excited, but fearful that you made the wrong choice, you lost a weeks sleep over this thing...........

and some jack leg with a 1973 F250 is hauling it across country, stopping at bars, getting his buddies to check out the inside with their greasy ass hands and McDonald's grease all over themselves, as they try to find the local bimbo to get in with them to show off in hopes of getting her all excited, everyone of these $5/hour illegals drooling over it, thinking you are some ass for being able to afford it, as the trucks fenders flap in the wind and blow dust all over the fresh coat of wax, shows up 2 days late......

THAT is why when you finally get to the point of having a boat hauled, you call Jeff, pay him a little more, you still miss sleep cause you are excited, you know it is cared for, he calls every so often and lets you know what is happening.....

If you want it done right, no hitches, no glitches, no headaches, no surprises, call Jeff and get it over with, the up front $$$ will be more than anyone else, but the over all cost is the best around.....

Just call Jeff, pay him what he wants, and get over it..... don't get cheep in the final step........

When it is all said and done Jeff is a good friend to have. I have gotten to be good friends with him over the past year, we talk on the phone at least once a week, and he has joined me on a poker run. I like the fact that he knows his **** around the boat. If you need to take a break from driving the boat, need to have somebody competent with the truck and trailer, or need somebody to take care of any wayward strippers that come into your area Jeff will be there for ya. The wingman, so to speak!!!

The 2 guys in the back seat are some fishing buddies that have never been in a offshore boat let alone a poker run...... 60 miles WFO in 2-3 footers!!! Do they look concerned??? LOL!!!

Re: boat transport

thank you very much to all of my new friends that I have made over the last 2 years. I know most of the oso people in the southern callif area for years, but in the last two I have made some really good friends around the country. All that you have to do is keep me in good new york style chinese food and I will do almost anything. (Brett I said almost anything). I am waiting for the daytona poker run next year so that Brett and I can take Lucky Strike Jr with us to lolipops and make him think of better things than a cigarette boat. Maybe we can sneak LS 3 with us. All we need is some viagra for the old man and we are set.

I really did not become a sick man until last month when I spent a week with JC in Long Island. Him and his crew are the really sick ones. We need to get him and his gang out to havasu and show them what women really look like. His girlfriends have too much facial hair.

It is sunday morning and I am leaving Gallup, NM. The boat I have behind me also has the owner following me becasuse he is moving. I will be dropping off monday morning and then heading for houston hopefully with a boat. The boat behind me is another oso member called In2deep. He is moving to the LOTO area so who ever lives up there needs to show this man around so that he knows where to go.
