I honestly don't remember how fast it was. Say 62-65 m.p.h. maybe? I believe that those motors, back then were the first year of counter-rotation gearcases for production outboards. Sorry, no old photo's. Ed

I know a 38 Ft MSV hull set up for staggered engines and #3,need total restoration, you can probably have it for free but it's in France
You can also find a picture of my old Cobra 38 in the 2003 racing images section of the Powerboat P1 web site

I do not recall racing the “Super Toad”, but it sounds familiar. Maybe the year, owners name or a picture would help.. Over the years there has been so many teams and boats you lose track of them..

John passed away and his family sold the MSV 44’ La Tortuga and the boat was never seen again.

Hi Bob!

Seems that the Blonde II of your first race was the substitute of the Blonde I that was went badly damaged two weeks before in a truck crash and never rapaired.
I don't know if the story it's true because I don't know if was really existed a Blonde I.
