Hard to go wrong with either boat. Like Semper said, the AT will have some more cabin headroom if that's important to you. I've never been in an AT, but I can attest to the incredible rough water ride of the PP, super build quality too. 1997 and above PPs are the last refinement of the 33' Sportdeck line, so you'll have the latest version of the boat. Good luck!!

Mike,
Same ride, very, very similar hulls.
Speeds are the same if the weights are the same.
Big difference, you can trade the 32 in for a 33, 37, or 43 when you want to move up! And you know where to find us.
Call me if you need any info on what you are looking at.
Pat.

Re: 32activethunder vs 33powerplay
Both hulls are hard core...speed, looks, and ride. I was considering buying a local 33' PP here in my area before I bought my 32' A/T in 2000. The 33' PP had a pair of 556cid supercharged engines in it ready to go while the A/T had a pair of naturally aspirated 468cid engines that were broke.
I had my own personal pros/cons, and choices, but a couple of reasons why I bought the A/T is because it had more engine room space for working on/getting at the engines if needed, and how the back support of the back seat is integrated with the engine hatch and goes up when the hatch is raised and really opens up the engine compartment nicely when you need to get at the engines. This isn't the case with the 33' PP....it looked very tight in the engine compartment vs the 32' A/T and when I looked in the PP with those huge supercharged engines looked like they were bulging out of the engine compartment.
I like the PP they are nice riding hulls and I really like the looks of them, but you'd almost have to stand on your head to even attempt to accomplish anything simple in the engine compartment---especially with the maintenance required by supercharged engines.
Also, when standing at the helm of an A/T I felt like I was really IN the boat and safe. I couldn't say that about the early style 33' PP I was looking at, but I know they have redesigned the deck since then and have raised it up.
Anyway, it will give you something to think about when making your choice between the two boats. I am sure you'll buy the boat that you think is right for you.
