Bite the bullet and put some Diesels in.A buddy of mine had one of those Harleys.He killed 3 sets of gas motors till he went over to diesels.Pay now or keep paying and paying and paying.

I have a customer with a big scarab that had the 420's in it. I rebuilt them, added inconel valves and Whipples. It's been running great for about 3 years now. He runs it hard, cruising at about 4000 RPM for hours at a time.
That would not be a bad option and certainly allow you to prop it up to get a good cruise speed.

I've been looking into this option - how much boost is he running? Did you simply have his heads updated or did he buy all new?
Any problems or issues I need to be aware of?
