Drives are painted
3 Attachment(s)
Last winter I picked up a couple of rebuilt 3as for my Cig project. Unfortunatly, they were painted red. Preparation being essential to any good paint job, I proceeded to sand off as much of the red paint as possible, split the upper and lower housings, remove the front and back covers to prep them for the best paint job that I could possibly apply. I finnished shooting the color on the pieces last night at about 11:00 pm. I took a few pictures throughout the process that I would like to share with my OSO brothers and sisters.

The last of them. Now. I have to wait for the paint to set up real well so I can re-assemble them and apply the new decals.

I'm kinda sick of seeing all these do-it-yourselfers cutting corners all the time.

Re: Drives are painted
Thanks guys. I used PPG DP 90 epoxy primer followed by three coats of PPG Delstar acrylic enamel with DXR 80 catalist.
