I was wondering, can a boat equiped with surface drives turn at slower speeds as wel?? Say between 5mph and 50mph?? I don't think it can but would like to hear other opinions, as to how the surface drives turn.

Turn radius is a function of steering piston travel - if # 6 & ASD8 have same travel the rate will be the same - If you are moving slow one in forard the other in reverse or differential power setting they will both turn the same. At speed you may have more or less sterring turns or input into the wheel based on skeg depths but you will never realize the difference at the wheel -

OK, so basically, it may not turn exactly as tight (pivot, at slow speed) but still turns sharper than I would ever require?
