Re: 1300+ Boats for sale !!
The economy is still good and boats are selling on the high end. I think the number of lisitngs is an indication that this site is more active.

The appreciation of homes isn't going to make the "typical" 20% year-over-year gains in 2006. The only way the middle class can play the offshore boat game is if our houses continue to print money for us. Otherwise this will be a "rich only" hobby.

Re: 1300+ Boats for sale !!
I totally disagree....
My boat isn't even for sale and I had a broker call me Sunday while I was at LOTO asking if I'd sell it (to which I replied, "for the right price") ----- We'll see what happens. The broker, whom I know very well, mentioned this guy has bought 3 other boats from him and is a cash buyer. I will say more when the deal is done. But, for now ---- I can say the key (for me) is buying the right boat for the right price, outfitted properly. Joe P.S. No one buys a boat hoping to make $$$$$ anyway! :D |

Re: 1300+ Boats for sale !!
here in Mi the economy sucks, and high gas prices don't help. You can not turn on a TV news show without hearing about the glut of homes on the US market, so there is no surprise it would be the same thing with boats
Another thing I notice more is high end boat owners seem to be turning them over at record speed. I am amazed that after hearing about someone spending a year or two building their dream boat within a few months of it hitting the water it is for sale and a new boat is in the works. Must be nice................. |
