I viewed some very detailed pics over the weekend of the wreakage. The pics above do not show nearly the magnitude of what occurred. Both boats incurred horrific damage but the FG boat will leave a tear in the eye of even the most seasoned captain...was very hard to look at.

Hello, I am not an offshore boat owner but enjoy every type of boating. I am a member of the Taylor Jet Boats club, and I truely despise seeing things like this happen to good people. Again, I am not an owner of a large boat but do own a jetboat and grew up around this lake. I do not wish to intrude but feel I needed to speak on behalf of our club members. Although i did not know these people, it is quite apparent that they were all wonderful people with great attitudes. I was on the lake that day at the islands enjoying time with friends when i heard of the accident. In honor of these fine folks our website has changed its banner (which usually showcases a nice Taylor boat for the month) to photos of the two involved this tragedy. On behalf of our club, I would like to extend our prayers and sympathies toward the families in this time of loss.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, no one will insure a turbine boat. I don't think you can even get a Lloyd's umbrella policy. |

I don't know much.Just a thought from a former Hydro guy.On the days we hold poker run could it be possible to fly some kinda flag at the loading ramps and marinas to let other boaters know what will be happening on the lake that day for there safty and ours.I know that nobody else was involved but just a thought.
