We also met Gordon and Ann at a poker run at Lake Eufalla a few years ago. We had a great discussion about his boat and the engineering behind it. They were a great couple that we enjoyed talking to, and am glad to have had the pleasure of meeting. My heart and prayers go out to the family of all involved, and God Bless and accept those who were lost.

I'm just speechless. I didn't make it to the run and got a call just after it happen asking if I seen anything. Been sick every since. Very sad day for the boating community. Prayer to all involved. If the kids need help, I'm sure oso will come through.

So Sad, my thoughts and prayers to all the families involved. Though I did not know anyone personally, they are still part of my extended OSO and performance boating family.
I heard about this yesterday but just got back to my computer now.
It has been a tough week for the poker run community losing Outer42 and then this horrible crash. Please everybody take a deep breath, address the tragedies appropriately, and focus our attentions on the families and friends who need our support.

My question to everyone is:
All of the awful tragedies that have occurred over the last 2 years have one common thread... EXTREME SPEED (100mph+) What can we all learn from this and how can we change poker runs to help make them safer before they all get shut down??
I have been a poker run producer for 9 years and have never advocated speed limits. I do think it is time for us to put a limit on speed or for pace boats to be used for the entire duration of a poker run. I would like to hear other people's thoughts on how can we make our sport safer?
