They should go get a new boat or a life.
That is one of the dumbest posts I have ever read on OSO.

I'm glad someone else has the same thought I did.
Yeah, I've been here for a couple years. I used to have a small go-fast. Went through some tough times, and instead of moving up, I had to move out of boating for a few years. I'm far from done.
I may not own anything right now, but I WILL. And, I learn alot from being a member here - and I'll use that knowledge and this board as a resource when I get into my new (to me) OLD SCHOOL '80's boat. I just like the old lines, and paint schemes/designs better. I've also made some friends, and had a chance to run in their boat, which is always an opportunity to learn more - these people have been very gracious to share thier knowledge, boat, and time with me - and in the mean time we had a few laughs, and more often than not, a few

Rat - I can borrow a woodchipper, and we can start shoving that Mich Light boat into it. Hell, if you haven't delivered your Cig Mistress yet, we can shove her through it too
Anyone have an Apache they wanna run through the grinder while I have it ( OH shiznit - did I just say the A word...)

cloke - don't you realize these boats are Classics, and in many way's can still out-perform a lot of the newer boats out there.
So for all of us Boatless junkies, I say F-U. I spent almost $1000 this weekend because I got an invite to ride on someone elses boat at the Cumberland run. That is money I could have put towards my own boat, but I had a great time, and want to support run's like this.

A boat (or anything) is worth what it is to the buyer.

When I want to offer someone way less then they are asking i usually say something like: I'm not trying to tell you whats it worth, but all i can afford to spend right now is X$$$. Then sometimes even add "I hope you get what your looking for" Works well, doesn't offend anyone. Sometimes when something is way overpriced, you might be the only one to make an offer, most people just walk away.
