HA, I was actually just looking at a Magnum that was 30 years old so I had that number on my mind. My mistake that Cig is going to be 20 years old since the 07's are here.

If I could buy that powerboat for half the asking price it would be in my back yard along with the two I already own.
I flunked economics.

I liked that #6 92 TG that was all redone in the classifieds unitl recently. That was old school enough for me and built with the right stuff to run hard.

You're saying this boat is only worth roughly $44k to you? LOL

What are all the things that are going to go wrong with it being an 87?

Of course you liked the redone 92 with 6's, who didn't? It was also almost $200k.

Actually I said I wouldn't buy it for half the price! I don't like old boats, cars, houses etc. I like new stuff that I don't have to worry about breaking. In an older boat like the 87 Cig things like fuel tank replacement, wet transoms, outdated hardware that you can't buy parts for and my personal favorite, limited resale. I like new stuff and can handle the depreciation whereas the older stuff can nickel and dime you to death.
Also remember that Cigarette was a sketchy company during the late 80's and wasn't exactly producing their best products then.

BTW on totally different note, met a guy yesterday from Grand Lake that just moved to FL that knows you. Last name was Klaus, drives SRT10 Viper Truck/1000 RR. His brother Weston just started working for me.

Thats the OSO rounding factor. My boat goes 68 so I'll say it goes 80. :D

LOL, small world! Matt is a good dude. He knows his stuff about cars. I bet he's having a blast down there. I haven't met his brother Weston, but Matt's a cool guy.

I know what you mean about older boats. That just looks like a sweet one.

I have a 1987 Cigarette since new, the build quality is exceptional. No complaints.
