What was the Cig "Hawk" Hawk power ???
Thats a nice boat and seems priced pretty reasonably

Its a Riggs job.........dont get any better then Melvin.....doing business with them 30 years.....m.m...........p.s......In fla. the Marine Shop is the way to go.....been with Jimmy 12 years and have not missed a day of boating......Magnum Mark.........

The boat was originally fitted with Hawk 540's in 1987. After some engine performance problems, I discovered that these engines did not have Carillo rods, nor any Callies cranks, much less - no J&E pistons or Crane rockers. A refresh was highly suggested. But, for not much more, I could get new blocks and the internal components I had hoped for. I opted to go to 572 ci instead of the 540 ci that Hawk used.

Cost about 15K each - six yrs ago. Mel (Riggs) said the same motors today would cost over 35K each due to the cost of the bowtie block (Nickel - Silicon) and procuring these same parts!!
