My Sunsation 32SS has arrived
Have to tell you all that I received my 32SS about 2 weeks ago and have been boating ever since!! In summary, much more than I expected. Only thing that I didn't like was the 1800 mile drive from Western Canada to Michigan to pick it up.......what a guy won't do for a boat eh!!
I dealt with 4 different people over the course of the manufacturing. First of all, Marc Blondin of Wharf Marina (where I purchased the boat) was much more than a salesman to us. He coached us through the whole process (it was our first twin since our 25OL) and even humiliated himself giving me hands on docking experience!! Joe of Sunsation boats was on the phone to me regularly confirming all the options were correct etc. He was always available to talk to also during the process. Tiger Performance (I purchased a 5 place intercom from them) made doing business with them easy.....they corresponded directly with Sunsation with respect to cable lengths installation procedures and the outcome was perfect. Last but certainly not least, I had the opportunity to meet Mitch of MitcherT. He delivered the boat in person to Wharf Marina and did a spectacular job. His delivery times and scheduling of my boat was to the hour and was always professional and easy to talk to at any point of the process. He went through all the proper care techniques with me and was a super guy.
Regarding the boat.....I put 525's for power which showed me numbers that I've never experienced before in a boat. Have about 25 hours on it now. It reaches 85mph real quick and feels like it's on rails. Experimenting with trim and in ideal water conditions I was able to hit 95mph which was a little more than I felt comfortable with at this stage.
Hope I haven't bored you all to tears and thanks to all of you that convinced me in a previous thread that Sunsation was the way to go. I'll post pics when I figure out how to do it!!
