On Saturday I may be meeting up with a friend in St. Joe who has a 32' Active Thunder like mine....that is if Lake Michigan is relatively calm enough for me to back my boat into the beach in about 3 feet of water with the transom facing the beach and toss an anchor---probably head south between St. Joe and Michigan City or so with a stop at one of the beaches somewhere along the way.

But if it's windy and Lake Michigan is too rough then, I just may take the boat up to Hardy Dam.

I will be "in" Michigan but not "on" Lk MI :D I will be on lk Superior, hope to get the roof on the cottage, 28 trusses will be saying no but we will do it, and take time to boat. :D

Think'n of go'n out 2 S. Fox Island on Sat. out of Charlevoix! Very cool awesome beach and bottom at sw corner just n. of the lighthouse. :D

On Lake Michiigan, up near Saugatuck Saturday, Sunday.
May run up to Grand Haven if it's flat, if not probably down to South Haven.

White Lake is in Whitehall, Michigan.....it's the next port north of Muskegon by about 7-10 miles or so.

And YES CrazyDave...that 32' A/T that I may be meeting up with is ALL YELLA and is called "Severe Turbulance". Who knows where I may go....I could end up anywhere from South Haven to Michigan City....all I know at this point is that I will be hugging the shoreline----I plan on burning a little fuel. :)

looks like we will be out sunday. the water temp is up to 65 ish. going to run from grand haven down to saugatuck. we'll be watching for carbiz,zanie,crazydave and tambrello. last run of the year for us. time to get some things done around the house after that. can't wait for that fall cleanup crap.

Just got in from a day of boating. It was an excellent day for boating. Launched out of St.Joe and ran north along side a friend's 32' A/T up to South Haven. Saw several people with their boats up there including... Crazyhorse, Severe Turbulance, Blue Moon, Mr. Gadgets, War Hawk and a few others so we hung out there a bit. Todd, who knows....you JUST MIGHT see me in Saugatuck if the weather is decent.

i sure wish i went yesterday. 3-6's today (sunday) i don't know if i'm up the that. i know sheri isn't. good to hear you had a good time. this weekend is it for me if i don't get out it will be next year.

Nykamp/Steve....were you on War Hawk yesterday??? I knew Carl wasn't driving (I think he was on the throttles), but I didn't recognize anyone else that was on his boat. Thought it was a kodac moment with Carl when he stopped for a potty break out there.

That was Ken in the other 32' Active Thunder has a pair of 556cid supercharged engines in his boat...mine are naturally aspirated 565's, but he and I run about neck & neck. When we saw War Hawk idling out through the pier/jetty yesterday, Ken started to turn around and follow you out and Ken kept pointing at me like I was suppose to be the one to go to guns with you guys which I didn't mind so I turned around to follow you guys out too but, Ken was first in line so I told him to get his butt out there as well.....so yeah, I quickly found out yesterday that Carl's ol' War Hawk is a runner! :o We've been going at since the mid 1980's....so heck, I guess I don't mind gettin' spanked by him too much---he's my old rival homie! :drink:

Todd, Can't really say I blame you....I didn't go out today and got a call from Crazyhorse----he said he wasn't going either because of the high winds. Too heavy of sea conditions...for me anyway, but I might be out there once or twice more yet before the season is out.

KAAMA, it was nice to see you on the lake yesterday. That's only the second time this year that we've had CRAZY HORSE on the water in west Michigan.
Another couple from Holland with a 38 flat-deck were out yesterday and ran to South Haven. I can't remember his board name though.

Well I saw Mark conserving fuel on the North side of the pier at South Haven. I made the run from Grand Haven to South Haven with Steve and Steve.. lots of Steves out there.. It was a perfect day Sat and I enjoyed it to the max!! We did run out of Saugatuck to GH in the dark and it was getting bumpy at 10pm, but we made it without problems..
Oh yeah. I lost my phone at the lauch it seems, so if it will take some time to rebuild my list..

My buddy took these from his 43 Bertram.
It got rougher as the afternoon went on.

Too much fun, we got soaked and my cabin was a disaster!!

Nobody can accuse me of babying my 22 year old boat!

I wish i would have seen this thread. I was on the bay all day on Friday. Ran to Cathead Bay then over to Charlevoix then back to TC. Lake was glass!!! :D

Was on Torch on Saturday and a strong wind out of the south. I bet the bay was rough on then!
