I hear someone is changing over from a well known namebrand to them?

IMO remember you have to do many hours of testing to get the MPH. That's the diff between a mid 150-160 cats to a 180 plus cat. Just think of what it took to get almost 200mph they just didn't throw power at it.

Do you know of many/any cats that go 180 plus all the time?

JC,
Where did you hear that? The design of the C50 was started even before Callan marine bought the old Tencara cat.
The C50 was designed completely from the ground up, four Dave Callan of Callan Marine, by John Cosker @ Mystic Powerboats. If you go to www.mysticpowerboats.com, you can see all about how the C50 was designed using CAD Key. That's the one thing you can be assured of when you commision a NEW boat from Mystic powerboats, they are orginial designs, from an Naval architect, using CAD Key software to design EVERYTHING on your boat. No need to copy someone's else's work, especailly when your design, is one of the fastest in the world Please see LOTO 2006 Top Gun results!

And your point is what?

The C50 is Faster than the Tencara was, it's bigger, and they barrel rolled the Callan C50 last year in KW @ over 120 mph and the Callan C50 was FINE! No structural damaged, no crushed canopies, just some scratches and vinyl needed to be fixed!

Bottom Line is Callan Marine/Mystic power boats have dominated the LOTO Shootout for the last few years!

What else do you need to know!
