I like Key West very much. Dont get me wrong. Would I want to race there again ? hell yeah!!!

But Im a racer and a Big fan of racing. So I will be where the real races are.

I have learned this year that the venue doesnt make the good time as much as the people you are there with. I had a great time with everyone at all our venues this year. And to be honest, some of these small town venues had awesome spectators and at least they knew we were comin to town. unlike some of those other venues.

Im sure key west will be rockin too with all the bad ass hardware comin down with the poker run, but if you are a true racing fan, Destin is where the action will be.

No disrespect to the guys racing in KW. your all true competitors in my view. (well most of you anyway) Im sure you all have your reasons for racing there. And its all good.

so....200 boats in KW. AWESOME 20 of them will be race boats.

"Real Races", "RACERS" ,"20 boats", no disrespect? You are liars and you are very disrespectful. Perhaps we should make a list of the top ten guys that have hurt Offshore Racing the most. Those who consistently promote an agenda by trying to tear down any organization they are not currently affiliated with. The guys who think they are gaining prestige by leading the public and potential racers to believe parts of Offshore Racing are not worth watching or participating in. Your way is the only true way, regardless of the damage and misinformation you inflict to achieve it.


Whatever the boat count, or fan count, Destin or Key West. They would both be greater, if our "Top Ten" would have been telling the truth every time they spoke or posted on the internet.

What's the truth? It's a great sport with an incredible past and a bright future. It's filled with a great group of dedicated men and women that I'm proud to call my friends regardless of where they race. We have all had some of the best times of our life doing it. Thats' a powerful statement

If you are thinking of going as a spectator, go, North or South. Want to race? Do it. But don't make any decisions based on the words of the "Top Ten". Talk to the ones who don't babble, in my book that's where you'll find the "Real Racers". SQ

just stating the facts based on the facts. True racing fans want to watch good close deck to deck racing with more than just one or two or three boats competing against each other. Im not gonna get into a pissing match with you Steve. Im not lookin to fight. You have your loyalties and thats fine. But dont kid yourself, the facts dont lie. We all know where the fleet of race boats will be. Destin. why is that so hard to accept? If you are a fan, Im sure thats where you would want to be. If you are a partier and a poker runner, KW is the place.
