projects consume Mr P, and it is already started. He is drywalling the garage, then he plans on building shelves, a work bench and epoxy the floor, he also has some major tree planting, he will pull the engines, remove the docks, hoist and ski boat, then work on all the engines. Take some time out for ski trips, lots of partying with neighbors, and a few road trips for boat parties. I spend most of December getting ready for Christmas and most of January tearing it down, and taking care of stuff while Ian does the BIG work

Re: boating off season activities?
We love warm weather and occasionally fantasize about living in Florida and boating year round, but have never been able to leave the wonderful beauty of fall and even winter. Sitting in the hot tub outside in middle of a white winter wonderland, with deer grazing all around, moonlight sparkles on the snow like the sun sparkles on the lake (and there is a margarita in our hands and tupperware bowls holding chips will float, try it out). But the 40 degree overcast rainy days absolutely suck every time and there are way too many of those up here.
Always have to make a run for the south, even if just for a long weekend, to maintain our sanity. And it drives me crazy that the harder you work, the longer the "to do" list gets. Wintertime "to do" lists are killer!!!

We like Florida boating in the winter better since it is nicer and not so hot, the downside is the water is too cold for swimming. Living in FL is nice but the cost to do so makes you think about moving!

We ride ATV's with our lake peeps. Run around and catch up on our non-boating friends. Do house projects that have been neglected all summer and drink just like normal.

Work on the boat. Do all maintenance, and make things better than originally designed . Make it faster, cooler, and bullet proof.

Like jupiter said ,some of our best boating weather is october to mid december. Air is a little cooler and water is warm till about mid november.Go out in the boat between december and april, but early in the day and stay out of the water because it is only like 7o degree's Grew up on Lake Michigan but i am spoiled.I hate diving if i have to put on a wetsuit.
Summer is fun here for 3 months than we beg the Sun God to please turn off the Sun
