New Truck for transport

I have made the move to a larger truck, I will keep my one ton Ford but am adding this truck for the larger boats that need better braking due to the fact that some of you out there can't seem to remember when the last time was that the brakes worked on the trailer. I now have a 330 peterbuilt with air brakes and cat motor. I will post pictures later.

That's great. I always wondered how you hauled some of those monster boats with only a 1-ton :drink:

Nothing like a stiff weld to keep things straight & upright-----

Re: New Truck for transport

Nice truck !!!

Question is where are you mounting the brass pole ?

Dave

bgchuby01 09-22-2006 01:16 AM

Re: New Truck for transport

the track vision is KVH satelite in motion TV. Nascar on the move

Dave for now the pole will have to mount to the back bumper.

Re: New Truck for transport

Peterbilt and Cat. Spell 'em right and they'll treat you right. Congrats on joining the "real truck" club.
All kidding aside, the upgrade to the Peterbilt will mean increased reliability as well as a bigger safety margin due to the better braking system, suspension and drive train.
Best of luck.

Re: New Truck for transport

As some of you know I had an auto transport company for 12 years with 28 10 car haulers, so getting this truck brings me back to normal. I am real familiar with the pete network for repair and the safety issue speaks for itself over the one ton.

Jeff, that sure is a strange looking 5th Wheel. :D

When time and moolah allows, I'd switch out to all rear facing clear LED lights and some Sylvania Silverstar sealed beam headlamps. Overall visibility will be much better, and it will look badass.

That Pete is the ticket for towing! We absolutely love ours and it tows the boat like it is not even there.

How about posting a pic of the tracvision setup on the roof. We were considering the same setup, but I was worried about how it would look. It is not that noticeable at all on your truck.

Hot Duck

Thats one good lookin set up !

bgchuby01 09-27-2006 09:44 AM

Re: New Truck for transport

The track vision needs either a roof rack or a flat roof. since the top of this is peaked in the middle the stereo shop made steel square spacers so that the satilitte would sit flat. It is really nice to drive down the road watching your favorite show to keep you busy.

Thai food works but this place in pompano is just like new york. Where in Miami are you living
