Question: Do you know where your 2006 Ford F-250 Crewcab Harley-Davidson Edition is????

Answer: Sunk...

I don't know who's this was, but it happened this weekend (Sat.) at the Daytona Halifax Marina boat ramps... This would WAY suck!!! That is his 33 Scarab in the foreground.

I would bet that was a guy upside down in his truck and he wanted a new one. If it is a HD edition then a 99% chance it is an automatic so why wasn't it in park?

I know a kid that pulled this scam in a beautiful 64 Caddy. Old car with collectible insurance and he couldn't sell it so oops it dunked at the ramp.

Fraud is scumbags getting other people to bail you out of your problems at their expense!

Friend lost an Expedition at a boat ramp because of failed Park gear lock.

Re: Do you know where you Ford is today? Sunk!!!!

Considering he had guides on his trailers, him messing up like that is entirely possible.

Besides salt water like that is not goiing to mess up that truck much...

That Ford would float the tires are so big. Look at the size of the pontoons on each side as well.

Re: Do you know where you Ford is today? Sunk!!!!

I "think" the guy was actually launching his boat and came down the ramp to hot and fast the weight of the boat and trailer pulled the whole rig right in... Cuda is right, this ramp at Daytona is steep. BUT, many of us know this and we go slow when launching... And I was told by someone at the ramp, that the owner had just put a $10K stereo and TV/Monitor system in it and I don't think insurance covers that... DOH!!!
Slow at the ramp is the best option... And we all know, the ramp is one of the best places for entertainment...

That could definitely happen at Halifax. I don't like the traffic/ parking there so I use a sleepy little ramp at Highbridge/ John Anderson. Very nice slope, docks are very short though, from the helm back the boat is hanging off the dock. More bass boats launch there than anywhere but there is never a wait and it is right on the ICW in a go fast zone.

I use that ramp too. It is very nice, it's just very far from the inlet.

I like to use the ramp at the Port Orange bridge. Not too steep, but kind of a short dock, and not a helluva lot of parking. Where's that other ramp you speak of? I've launched at the Ormond Beach ramp before too. Not much parking at all there.

You have gone to the Granada bridge ramp in Ormond. IMO that is one of the most dangerous ramps I have ever used. Narrow channel, super steep and open water allows a big chop to pound your boat.

Go over that Granada bridge and left on John Anderson (part of the loop) and at the end of JA is Highbridge road. It is 7 1/2 miles north but it is wide open (30 MPH) and a nice ride if you head north to St Augustine or just want a less congested ramp with plenty of parking.

We must have gone near it, or by in when we ride the bikes through the loop. You are right about the Ormond launch. I saw a guy in a 16 Donzi plowing up mud just off the ramp. Once we came in there with the wind blowing hard from the east, if I wasn't in my fishboat, I'd have had a helluva time.

The Ormond ramp by 40 is ok if the winds aren't blowing very much and there is plenty of parking across the street from the normal parking behind the library. This area is open to trailers during busy times at the normal parking. Very open in the back and very open for bigger trailers. The Highbridge ramp is also good if you are headed north and also it does have good parking. There is also a little known ramp under the Seabridge bridge also know as Mason Ave. Not great parking but only a few people know about it so it is usually not crowded.

Couldn't agree more!!! It is JUST a Ford (Found Off Ramp Drowning) . I would imagine he's out shopping for a Cummins rig now.
