Re: engine question
The pricing is competative, what is the name of the Builder and how many are up and running, or is this a new proposal?
What type of valve train?. Gregg Reichman |
Re: engine question
How about a detuned EFI version in the 850 HP range for #3 & 5 drives?

Well , perhaps. First , I don't want to break any rules and turn this into and advertisement. There is nothing set in stone as of yet but it is looking pretty good from the reserach that's been done so far. The question was posted just to put out some feelers to see if it would be worth a rather large investment to build a few of these and even bigger inch marine engines (over 800 Cu In). Probably the most difficult part would be , due to the tall deck height and the Big Chief heads , width could be a problem unless it was a cat or a staggered deep v. Next comes the "drive" problem. #6's or Arnesons would almost be a "Must". The idea behind it is the simplicity and reliability of a naturally aspirated engine. Build it BIG to make power and not squeeze more power out of less as it reduces the reliability. Thanks for all the responses :D |

Re: engine question
CMI Big Tubes are up to the task. Also I believe that most XR drive boats would see a distinct advantage to upgrade to a Konrad Ace for this application.
As you get serious Mopower, keep in touch, I'd like to offer you some very nice package deals. I think you're on to something that is currently not available and seems to be the direction alot of the Poker Run crowd is headed. Good luck!! Kirk |
