Are you joining everyone Handfulz28 with the new water taxi ???
You're right, the winds have dropped they're calling for ENE around 10-12mph on Saturday. Hhhhmmmm....maybe I can convince Dad that we don't need to work...I mean isn't 5 days enough?

Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full.

The late departure puts us down there kinda late to spend a decent time there. I've got an evening gig so I've been waived off. Might go out and waive if y'all come through Haulover. If anybody feels like it, give me a call or shoot me a text message: (three oh 5) sleven 1 Zero 7 six six 4.

I'm headed to the Cove tonight to see what's going on there, and may end up in Deerfield for the races Sunday.

I've got to get into the local OSO events and meet everyone.
Thanks,
Michael

Jim, pi$$ on work......... Cut outta there around noon and head down. Take the Digi with ya, cuz I need some new pics to get me through the winter up here. If you do decide to go, don't blow anything up azzzhole, cuz I may need get down there in January, and it would definitely suck not to have a boat to run....
Oh, by the way the Scareeeb is now sitting in storage, I was able to wrap everything up today/ even changed out the brake line on the trailer. Miracles never cease.

Bad News from CDR:

Boating accident near Miami kills college student, injures seven others

The Associated Press
Posted October 8 2006, 12:50 PM EDT

KEY BISCAYNE -- Two boats collided on the first day of South Florida's annual Columbus Day regatta, killing a 20-year-old college student and leaving seven others seriously injured, authorities said.

Monica Burguara, 20, of Miami, died about 9 p.m. Saturday when the boats collided near the Rickenbacker Causeway between Miami and Key Biscayne, said Jorge Pino, a spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Of the seven other people on the boat with her, four were in critical condition and three others were in serious condition when they were transported to area hospitals, Pino said.

Authorities were still piecing together details of the crash Sunday.

Pino said one boat was towing two other boats in a line. Burguara was in the middle boat on the tow line. A fourth boat apparently came from behind, missing the last boat in the tow line and colliding with the boat Burguara was aboard, Pino said.

Hundreds of boaters were on the water this weekend during the annual Columbus Day regatta.

Nice.. SOB fled the scene..

Three Boats Involved In Fatal Accident
A woman has died after a boating accident at the Columbus Day Regatta in the waters off Crandon Park Friday evening.

One boat was towing a boat that had eight people on board when a third boat collided with the boat being towed.

One woman died in the accident, four others are in critical condition and three are in serious condition, according to Miami Fire.

Two people were taken to Ryder Trauma, three to Mercy and two others to the Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.

The third boat fled the scene of the accident but officials from the Fish and Wild Life Commission and Marine patrol caught up to it.

There were 10 people aboard the boat. None were not injured and they are being questioned by FWC who will determine what charges, if any, they face.

The regatta is taking place at Biscayne National Park over the upcoming Columbus Day weekend
