Will I have any problems putting in at Goose Bay with a 36 foot Cat?
Is there another choice with out going all the way around to Tims?

How about Smallwood State Park?

I am concerned about low tides.

Thanks again.

Goose bay should be fine for you. Many large boats put in there. I am putting in at Tims 2, but that ramp would probably be too small for your boat. Others are launching at Goose bay and driving down, its about 12 miles away.

Smallwood is a good ramp also....just follow the markers leaving the ramp.

Monsoon is not going to make it this weekend. Too many irons in the fire. Have fun everyone, and be safe.

Yup, what he said. Also, FYI, you have to be out of there by dark.

Is Mattawoman deep enough? I have not been up there since last summer, but I have dinged up props in Mattawoman Creek.

Leaving the ramps you usually have at least 4' for around 100 yards, then it gets deeper. Look at Sweden Point Marina to the left. Big sailbotes in there. The Mattawoman is plenty deep. Ever been back to the "Sand Dune"? I've seen 50' yachts back there.

What did it take to win the fastest, single engine v, last year??? I want to know... because it might not be worth our time to put new plugs in the motor for this weekend . I guess if the Velocity was the only competition, we can coast through the gun. Let's see what everyone has, it is the end of the season, what better time? By the way... the pole will NOT be in the boat (it's too cold for proper dance attire )

Last year it was Matt with his Velocity.....think it ran 110?? John Olivo ran his Checkmate over 100 last year.....but he moved. Not sure what else is there in your class
