If it was heated between them before and he lost his temper that's bad enough. But to stomp on another player's face simply because your frustrated and he lost his helmet is inexcusable. They are PROFESSIONAL athletes!

I hear the same line used when one of these idiots looses self control and kills somebody. Here is another one I'm waiting to hear.

He made a bad choice.

EXACTLY! If I did that to someone playing flag football, I'd be in jail right now. This guy has a problem. See quote below from ESPN

"Haynesworth's previous problems had been hidden from attention because they took place in practice. As a sophomore at Tennessee, he fought with a teammate and left practice, returning with a long pole looking for tackle Will Ofenheusle before coach Phillip Fulmer stopped him. He was suspended for a half of a game.

During 2003 Titans training camp, Haynesworth kicked center Justin Hartwig, now with Carolina. Charges for a road rage incident earlier this year were dismissed.

But the stomping, showed repeatedly in television replays, has brought nearly unanimous condemnation, the unprecedented suspension and possibly criminal charges and a civil lawsuit.

Real tough guys huh, kicking people while they are down on the ground!

Phucking POS, he needs to be in JAIL!

Yeah, and what about Gourde, who now has 30+ stitches in his head and FACE, because of this AZZHOLE! Let's not forget who the victim is here! God forbid if Guorde has kids and they now have to look @ their Dad's face like that! No hanging, just prosecute him for attempted deadly assault

Conrad Dobler used to bite people. I think it's sad for the game, thats one of the reasons I dont follow any sports anymore.
golf has VJ Singh
Baseball has the likes of albert bell and Barry Bonds
Nascar has Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick
Basketball has Latrell Sprewell
Football has TO and Haynesworth
I cant remeber the hockey players name that knocked the other guy over the head and had civil charges pressed.

I have no problem with the "spirit" of competition, but these people have ruined once accesable sports for the fan.
