The JACKSONVILLE FIRE and POLICE IS A 501-C-3 charity run. All $$$$ have to be given to the charities after expenses. We donate about $30,000 per year to PAL and a local charity for children with cancer.

one of the runs i did this past summer gave very little to charity....they had a 50/50 drawing at the lunch stop and that was the only $$ they gave up. we figured they banked about $30k profit.
