Mike Fiore was pretty impressed with the F4. Have you been on "First Born" yet? The boat compares to OL more than you think..especially when you consider price. Granted, Nor-Tech would most likely be a better head-to-head comparison (IMHO). 90 MPH with stock 600's has to get your attention. Oh yeah, it crushes the big stuff too.

What do you expect as far as performance with the triple diesels? How are priced compared to NA Nortech 650"s?

I went with the twin Yanmars, the 500hp/935tq, and straight ASD8's vs the triple set up and bravo or alike drives. There isnt a trip package at the moment that will give me more speed and be as reliable. We modifed a few things on my boat like lighter layup, drive height, 6" exhaust vs 5", different rake on props, to get it to hopefully 80. The fuel burn is incredible, and most of the time we cruise at 50-60mph anyways. Jeff

As to the trip 650's I believe the boat went 102 with twin 750's and 5's (not bravo's) I hit 82 with Trond, Terry, and myself with a 1/4 or 1/3 tank of fuel, that will give you some idea. As to price call Terry at Nortech, he will set you up. 239-567-5030

A guy a know here in LI has that setup and is very happy.
Had a few probs w/ the yanmars, but terry quickly had that fixed up.

Terry explained that to me something on set up or rigging, not quite sure.

His I believe was the boat I test rode, a blue and silver tribal flamed 4300. Nice looking boat. The other was Red's 5000 with the trip. set up. Beautiful but to big for me. The 4300 is the perfect size for our boating and friends. Thanks Jeff

It seems great as far as I can tell. I have never seen one out here in California.

I do question the quality of all boats, in general. A lot can be covered with flashy paint and polished metal under the hatch.

I've owned too many, for too many decades, to trust a logo.

Have not picked it up yet, so I cant give you accurate speeds. The model I tested did 74 something. I changed a few things and went with the lighter layup, 6" exhuast vs 5" and a 1/4" higher X dimesion with different props and the goal is 80+mph. Second day of testing boat 2 yesterday. They got 101 with 34P props on the 700s.

When are you heading for your test run on the boat. Mine will go back to the factory next month for a few updates. I think I am going to have them add a generator.

Those are great numbers especially out of twinns for that size boat. Great job Sunsation.. :cool: ...As to the test run not sure but need to run through it at least once before we leave for the PR. Those gen. sets will knock at least 2 mph off your top end. Thats good for me cause your getting down closer to my end. :p :D What else an we add that you need this winter. :D Jeff

That boat is drop dead gorgeous. Paint and cockpit McLeod seats look great and how the graphics on the sunpad wrap around, again, alot of detail. :cool: Jeff
